Did you ask her to pay for her share of the holiday? If not then I dont see how this is relevant. Neither is the £40 spending money she kept as if you'd really not wanted her to have it you would've asked for it back.

As you didn't draw up a legal contract for the 'loans' she can easily say you gifted her the money.
  • I wonder how much she's paid in terms of mortgage and rent payments in the last couple of years?

£100 per month for rent, bills and lodgings sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Good luck saving up that £100k when you have to live in the real world and pay your own way
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Was just thinking the same, wish i could tell my landlord 'well i WOULD pay the rent but i'm saving!'
  • The money came from the savings I have made so far towards training in my chosen career (pilot). Total cost of the training is £100,000 upwards but I have nowhere near that. That is why I told her I could not pay fully towards living costs and why she agreed that this was acceptable.

I have records of the large cash amounts that I have withdrawn and given to her from my bank statements. Those receipt records will be confirmed on her accounts too.

Also, we are not married. We were just co-habiting.

Presumably your ex partner will also be able to prove having provided you with free board and lodgings for two years.
Your dreams for the future and your current inability to initiate them aren't relevant.

I have to agree with the others. This poor girl carried you for 2 years and now you want to take her to the small claims court? I think you should try it because I'd love to see you get laughed out!
  • You got a good deal if you ask me........... no rent for 2 years, food, board and extras...

Think about how much you'd have paid (with no extras :) in a shared house for 2 years.

Grow up, move on and learn to pay your way in life.
