Hope you folks can help
Im thinking of changing a 60w light using a normal bulb in the garage to a Fluroescent strip light see pic below as light in my garage is very poor
But im struggling to understand what sort of light output i would get , it says its a 36w 4ft long but would this illuminate better than a single bulb, are they rated light energy bulbs ?

There is one very good reason for using a strip light in the garage. With a single light source it is easy to stand in the way of the beam when working in the garage, but with a fluorescent fitting of some length at least part of the light will come over your shoulder. Fluorescent tubes have always given a better light output than normal incandescent bulbs for the same or less energy requirements. Hence the popularity of CFL type lights.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
It would be quite a bit brighter than a 60W bulb, about 3 to 4 times brighter.0
