    Their website seems to be multi-lingual. Nothing in the T&Cs on there?

    How about your copy of the T&Cs (assuming they're in English) provided when you opened the account?

    I am really disappointed that you weren't able to instantly reference the precise term and condition relating to this.

    Epic fail YorkshireBoy ;) .

    Hi Yorkshireboy,this A/c is not mine, it,s my daughters and her partners.
    They are having problems, both financial and personal. He is going to Spain, leaving her in the lurch with debts galore;
    All the finances were done using her credit rating, as his was shot, and now the daughters is.
    I,m trying to advise her, and told her to close the Cambank A/c, he needs it; It,s very complicated, but he won,t play ball.I open and close A/cs all the time, but not current A/cs, which Cambank is.
    It,s getting nasty now, and she needs to close that A/c.

    Thanks xylophone, that link is exactly my daughters situation, and her partner will not hesitate in using the A/c and running as much debt on it as possible,leaving her liable for half.Thats why it has to be closed/froze.
    I will get her to contact the bank asap.:beer:

    Don't know how it works in Spain but here, (from my experience only) if you contact a bank to let them know you have a joint account dispute (divorce/separation etc) they should freeze the account straight away and contact the other party in writing or by phone asking them to contact the bank to discuss it further.

    The account can't be closed if there is a debit balance, both parties will need to make arrangements to repay the debt.

    She can't be the first with such problems, so you might be better asking the question on an ex-pat forum such as those at www.eyeonspain.com and www.thespainforum.com

    I've had a quick look and there are some discussions on joint account closure there.
