Hi our 3 year old Worcester condensing boiler stops after a while before the room stat has reached the temperature. It fires up again if we run the hot water tap but we shouldn t have to do that. Any suggestions ? Thank you

Sounds to me that it is doing it's job!
The boiler is a closed central heating system. The primary water supply may have reached temp (as per the temp dial on the boiler) and shuts the boiler off, yet the room stat is still open running the pump.
You will probably find that the boiler comes on and off regularly - it's just keeping the system up to temp.
I always run my CH boiler temp at max - 24hrs a day and let the room stat control the air temp.0 -

Hi, Well thats interesting but im not sure if thats the problem with mine. I set the stat in the living room to 17 the radiators hardly get warm then when i check the boiler after a while its off and the room feels more like 10 not 17. Its like the stat isn t working properly or a valve is stuck.0 -
I am trying to find where to post my question, cant find it so I will post on answers and hope some one picks it up.
I have a Ferroli CH boiler.
It cuts out and a heavy clicking noise occurs.
I called in a CH company one month ago but they could not repeat the fault. I was told it was the PCB that was certainly faulty, I purchased one at 230 pounds. The boiler has operated for more than 3 weeks and only cut out once. Can it be the PCB surely when it has "gone" the never recover. I have now got this expensive part that I am reluctant to have fitted.0 -
