Hello, can anyone help please. I have received £14,000 from an endowment policy which I intend tp pay towards my mortgage. Part is on repayment and part on endowment. The mortgage was for a two year fixed rate which expires in July. Can anyone tell me if it's worth putting the money in a savings account for the short term as I have the money in my current account at the moment.
Thanks
Adrian

An instant access savings account will pay you 2-3% - about £1 per day on the £14K. Better in your pocket than the bank's.A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove you don't need it.0

put it into easy access savings at 3%, unless you can overpay your mtg now w/o penalty and save on interest.0
