I offered 118k on a property up at 135 - seller needed full amount because of his mortgage so no dice, property has been on for 12 months and needs work; doubt very much is the seller has a chance of his asking price as a house up the road in much better nick went for 125. - I am selling myself and don't think I'd be offended at a well below offer - not that I'd accept if too low but its a start point - so fire away.0 -
Worth a shot and I would try however this is London where prices still seem to be on the incline. Anywhere else in the UK I would say it was a dead cert however I would still give it a try and see what response I got.0

Id never worry about offending anyone on offering a low offer, they can always say no then you can perhaps raise it a bit........0

I'm negotiating with the vendor directly. There is no EA in this. Also, the lady did mention that she is willing to slightly lower the asking price. The property has been on the market for 6m through an agent.
Oh in that case, good luck, you might just have a chance!The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
