Hi lavidaloca,
To revive them pass a needle through each stem just below the flower. I don't know why it works but it does.

Use lemonade instead of water or pierce the top of the stem with a needle. Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

the pin thing works as it helps draw water up the stem and makes it firmer - trim the stems as this will help draw water up as well. I tend to put tulips in a smaller vase with short stems or keep most of the leaves on so that they're fairly tightly packed as this helps reduce the flopping but if they're parrot ones I keep then long and let them droop as I think it looks lovely.0

Make a cylinder of newspaper around them so it makes them stand up and tape it in place. Leave overnight and take off newspaper. Ta da! They will be standing to attention! My mum is a florist - it always works for me!
Make sure you trim the stems regularly as they grow so quickly, and cut the stems at an angle and change the water often0 -
is it just me who thinks tulips liook fab if the are flopping iver the edge of a vase?! My bad taste is confirmed! There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0

I cut flowers across the stems, and then do a slit up the stem. It helps them take in more water apparently, and I had a bunch of flowers last more than 2 weeks by doing it.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I didn't realise you could do something to stop them flopping, I thought it was just natural, and they always seemed to perk back up again on their own
great tips ladies :T
I always put a little sugar in my flower water, and trim them on the diagonal before putting them in the vase, they last for a good 3 weeks usually0 -
Try a viagra tablet in the water :rotfl:A friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0
