O2 mobile phone - result

Hi all,

I vented my frustration on this board some time ago re a Motorola Rokr1 phone. I had to send 2 of them back to O2 as they'd become faulty, my 3rd one had also gone down and on phoning O2 I was told they'd send me out another refurbished Rokr.

I wasn't happy with the prospect of yet another refurb but the operator told me that I was out of my 28 day guarantee so would have to take it up with Motorola.

After asking advice on this site I was pointed to the Sales of Goods Act, so I wrote to O2 and gave them 7 days to reply. I had a lovely apologetic letter yesterday offering me the choice of two phones!

So I just wanted to vent some 'good' news for a change and let you guys and girls know there is a way forward - if you are experiencing uncooperative companies then do follow it through - don't let them take you for a ride :T
