Feel a bit conned by A+L

Hi-

I opened a reg saver with A+L last Feb (interest rate was 10% at the time). The account is due to mature later this month on the 20th of Feb and I've been making monthly £250 payments.

However, it seems as though the interest on the account was added in Dec 06. I thought that the account would have the interest added when the account matures later this month. This then means that I've lost two months of interest!

Not impressed!

  • No you havent lost out

Mine paid £93.03 net in December and a further 38.46 net on maturity date, which was slightly more interest than I would have expected if paid in one sum

If its like their ISAs (which also had the interest added at the end of the year) then they will credit the rest when it matures or you transfer it away.
