  • We paid for half of our 2007 holiday to Tobago booked with Virgin - also got the early booking reduction.

We're aiming to pay for the whole holiday in 2008!!

Must admit the points vouchers on H&B have been put to very good use ;)

I'm mystified - how do you all get so many. I have been saving for a couple of years and only have about £15 worth - I spend about £50 a week in Tesco but am I doing something wrong!!!

My other half does about 40k miles a year in his company car, so he ALWAYS fills up at Tesco, hence we get loads of points that way paid very kindly by his company LOL! I always fill up at Tesco too. He always used BP much to my annoyance and finally gave in to my whinging.

I, on the other hand am very good at spend lots and lots of money and always use the coupons they send us with points statements to get the extra points.

Also, if we want a big spend such as the 4 x Annual Tussauds passes we got at Christmas, we just buy the deals tokens of family members at face value that would have only otherwise used them instore at face value for money off their shopping ( a complete waste I know!). We have also bought the tokens off friends at face value when they have been skint, they are grateful for the cash and we grateful for the tokens so we are all happy.

Alternatively, you can buy them on ebay if you really need to.

I'm so impressed, my Tesco vouchers arrived in the post Thursday afternoon, I straight away ordered the MFI deals vouchers, they arrived yesterday (Saturday) and were spent by Saturday afternoon! AND we had an amazing salesman who reduced the prices until we just paid £4.99 for a sofabed, a kids wardrobe and 5 drawer chest of drawers. Only thing that could improve all this would be a quicker delivery for the sofabed, but that's the least of my worries!
  • So far, i've used them for Alton Towers tickets, RAC membership, magazine subscription and car hire in Germany worth £180 with Avis. Have got loads saved up but no idea what to spend them on at the moment.

I thought I read in their last deals catalogue that MFI were pulling out of the clubcard deals in early 2007 which is why I haven't bothered looking in there for anything? Has there been a change of plan?

I've just checked the website and you have to spend them before 30.4.07 so a while to go yet.
