There is one person I can possibly borrow some money from if I need it but hate the thought of asking a friend. There is a possibility the vet will extend my credit, also still a slight possibility the cat will get better on the current meds and not need more invasive treatment.
I personally would give these 2 ideas a go first before applying for a PDL. If you do choose this option then make sure you dont fall into the re-lending trap.. speaking from experience
Hope your cat gets better soon..

Ok Bananchip, I hope you've calmed down a bit, I think you've had a bit of a panic attack there and a knee jerk reaction in contemplating a PDL.
I'm sorry your cat is ill and hope s/he recovers with his/her current treatment. You don't need to make any decisions at the moment, not until you visit the vets again. As your vet knows your cat is not insured they're not likely to expect you to have a wad of cash on you at that time anyway. What ever you do don't default on the £300 you already owe them or they definitely won't be so lenient regarding payments in the future.
If you vet is too expensive is there a PDSA anywhere near you? Even if its not, if you can't afford to pay, its possibly your only other option.
I am very lucky in that my little Poo has never been very unwell (except when she gotoil on her back and I couldn't get it all off and she licked some of it). I thought I'd lost her and stayed up with her all night, waiting on her hand and foot (or paw and paw). I would remortgage my home to the hilt to get her treatment she needed so I know what your pet means to you.
I hope s/he gets well soon.
Best wishes,

I have had 27 loans from Quick quid in the past and never had a single problem (always paid on time).
I would never ever recommend you get a PDL though, you have to be desperate!0 -
Hi Bananchip !
just would like to post my experience for payday loans if it is always useful for you. I've tried moneylender.com 3 weeks ago for 300 pounds for 14 days, they prices are reasonable. They tried to collect money on 15th day , but I had insufficient funds on my account, I e-mailed them that they can try in 2 days again and they don't charged me more that initial amount.
that was nice !
health to ur cat !
cheers, Barry0 -
Wonga is a fantastic company....go for it...Wonga is perfectly safe to use, they're respectable...
Is that Errol?! Errol Damelin?! Errol Damelin, CEO of Wonga.Com?!
It's obviously some goon working for a PDL or PR house working for a PDL.
let's do a bit of snooping..
"wnoktnwbr" has an astonishing 63 "thanks" for just 17 postings, most of which were completely banal in content. The mutual backslapping is usually a give-away that we are dealing with a team-player.
Individually, these grunts are ineffective and weak, so they work like pack animals.
When he made his first post, "wnoktnwbr" was already *very* familiar with our forum.
Immediately upon joining, his first messages were directly addressed to martin (lewis) with suggestions for site alterations..
Tellingly, "wnoktnwbr" didn't even bother with the usual pleasantries that one would expect from a newbie.. Big giveaway that "wnoktnwbr" is not a newbie..
Most of the forum shills juggle multiple personas, monikers and nom-de-plumes. It keeps down the cost for the client. And it's a relatively easy thing to do using sandboxed browsers, onion routing, web proxy caching servers, etc..
And indeed, "wnoktnwbr" is one of those multi-personality shills or Perception Management Operatives (as the CIA calls its own).
Our latest shill will now work this forum professionally on behalf of one or more corporate clients, including Wonga.Com
