Nat West

I have been self employed over 1 year now running my own Light Transport business.
When I started I opened my Nat West business account but its just the basic I was declined from having credit.
I tried agin 2 months ago and still declined even though its all ways been in credit. I sent for my credit file witch was requested for by my business bank, it has 2 payment defaults witch are marked as settled but at the time the debt was sold to credit recovery before I settled.
In the last 3 to 4 years Ive had mobile phone contracts and 2 visas which I use every day for Diesel for my truck to build up my credit score.
In the last 4 years I have never missed a payment for anything and still cant get a proper business account, Is there any other bank I can turn to.

What were the defaults...no banks etc? If not try barclays
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

One was an old mobile phone contract the other was bank charges but that one did not go to debt recovery.

    I have just double checked.
Default for £225. 8/07 . Nat west. settled
    Default for £147. 11/07. Lowell portfolio,settled
    Default for £112. 3/08 . Hutchison 3G ,settled
Since 08 I have paid every bill on time 3 phone contracts and 2 credit cards.

How long will these stop on my file?
From the default date or the settled date?

A defaulted account will stay on your credit report for 6 years from the date the default was registered.

After 6 years the default will be automatically deleted from your credit report, regardless of whether it has been paid (satisfied) or not.

Default deletions usually take place overnight, so if your credit report states the default date as 13/02/10, the Default entry will be removed overnight on 13/02/16 and will no longer appear on your credit report as of 14/02/16.

you have a default with natwest (although settled) their internal scoring will be preventing you from getting the upgraded account/credit
