Love my one, couldn't be without it now.
Great price OP.
Knew when you posted it that the usual negative comments would appear. Can't understand why people who haven't used one/had problems with it feel the need to comment...0 -
I've had my Actifry over 12 months and use it every week, with no problems.
I love having guilt-free chipsYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I have the family size one only had it 6 months and the lid has cracked, they have sent another tho but hope it lasts as they are £48 to replace !0

Our 1st one went out with a bang and a cloud of smoke and our second one is with Tefal at the moment as its simply stopped working after 6 months. I returned it to a Tefal store expecting an instant replacement as its within a year but it will take 18 WORKING days to return it to me and the man in the shop said it was probably because grease had built up in the motor (as if it was our fault and not a design flaw!)
It is very useful and practical but Tefal have serious issues with their customer service.Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0 -
From a recent Tefal safety notice relating to their jam makers, which doesn't seem to have had the publicity it deserves:
"It has come to our attention that in a very small number of incidents, the pre-programmed P4 cooking cycle is not performing the correct operation. The P4 Program will not complete its second cycle resulting in the paddle ceasing to rotate but the heating element remains on. This error has been found to be related to a programming error on the circuit board on products from a certain production range. The models affected were manufactured between January 2011 and June 2011."
Draw your own conclusions.

Love mine had it a couple of years now and never had a problem with it. Like someone said above I never leave it on with no one in the kitchen keeping an eye on it0

I bought the Actifry and returned it as it appeared to be very flimsy, I have since bought a Philips Airfryer (Argos sale), this works on the same principle but without a paddle and it is built to last, also it is much quieter.:hello:0

I have an Actifry and use it daily. I bought it last September and a couple of weeks ago the lid broke. I phoned the helpline and was sent a new lid within the week, free of charge, of course. I found the customer service excellent. When I saw that the filter was a bit grotty looking, I gave them a ring and they said that this part is something that has to be replaced at the expense of the purchaser as it has to be renewed every now and again, but they sent me one free of charge as a goodwill gesture. I love it for cooking chips, chicken, sausages, loads of things! In fact, I am surprised it hasn't worn out with all the use it's had! My daughter can use it with ease to and it's simple to clean. I paid over £165 for mine
.... but it's been worth it. The OP is an excellent price! 0 -
Wonder what filter that is. The only one I see you can lift off and clean its metal grill0

Yes, that's the one... apparently they have to be replaced now and again... I was a bit over zealous cleaning mine and the plastic bit split... it was still usable but phoned them up anyway to see about getting another one.0
