  • Anyone know what Bar pressure is normal for a Worcester condensing boiler mine is now showing 1 Bar and i'm positive it was never that low. I'm sure it was like 1.5 +

You'd expect the pressure to drop over time. Charge it back up to 1.5 and check how fast the pressure drops. Fast pressure drop would indicate a leak.

  • C-E Dunno how to do that mate. My neighbours is showing 1.5 bar and we have same boiler and the flats are new build [ 2.5 years old ]
  • emerald21. If it is a combi boiler it could be a diverter valve failure. Think the boiler defaults to hot water and diverts to heating.

Mine s lost pressure before now and from what i can recall there s a plastic key on the boiler somewhere. You fit it onto something underneath and turn it a bit. That seems to release something and the pressure goes back up. Bit sketchy but might help before someone else replies.

are you getting any heat on the radiators at all? only when you say you can start it by running a hot tap - is it just coming on to heat the water up and failed with the heating? If it is heating the water then the boiler must work but sounds like its prob heating thermostat died or pump not circulating properly (but then would expect boiler to be working overtime). If you're not covered by any sort of homecare scheme then sounds like you need to contact a plumber :(

Barely any heat, slightly warm and that cud be coming from the water. I think it must be just coming on to heat the water actually. Boiler certainly doesn t work overtime ( dont know which would be worse, well that probably as it would cost more lol ). Mmm guess i ll contact a plumber :(. Wish we d have hung on to our 20 odd year old boiler now, those were the days when the radiators got that hot you cudn t touch them for long.
