I need a new combi boiler - urgently!

My 10 year old boiler has given up the ghost. It was a cheap and very nasty Halstead combi and gave us no end of trouble.

It now needs a new fan and motherboard and even then may not work properly - so that would be another £300 down the swanny.

Besides which we are building a granny flat which will mean more work for the boiler.

So I am looking for a boiler for a relatively large ( 7 bedroom inc. granny flat) detatched house but I am not sure where to start looking?

Please can anyone make some recommendations or point me in the right direction.

Thanks

  • for a 7 bedroom + annexe house I wouldn't be considering a combi boiler.

Have you / your gas safe registered fitter considered reconditioned exchange parts from CET Ltd. Halsted PCBs and Fans are around the £50-60 each mark.
