Dro- income benefits only

Hello

Myself and husband are in 11,000 of unsecured debt and our income is of benefits only.

I think a dro is the way forward as we have been with payplan for 4 years and paid a lump off but cannot keep uo with those payments any longer and have defaulted a number of times

I am wondering if they count dla for a child and a dult in the income> would they expect me to pay debts from my sons and husbands disability premuims and benefits, is incapacity counted also?

Has anyone out there applied for a DRO when they have been on benefits only

It's only YOUR income that counts for a DRO, and DLA (yours obviously, not someone else's) should be shown as income and expenditure. Payplan can do DROs and they have been available since 2009. So have a chat to them in the first instance. Post here again if you are having problems.
