Due to Router problems (netgearWRG614v10) i had to reset the router, which then defaults to the factory settings, which seems to have done the trick, however i cant see any easy way to reset the password to my own, can i simply put the setup CD in and "Start again" (with Ethernet wired connection plugged in) or what? Type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser, then press enter. The login box will appear, default user name is admin and the password is password. Once into the router interface scroll down on the left hand side to "maintenance" select set password and you can change it from the default to one of your choice.0

Not if you type it into a blank address bar, it takes you to your router login interface.0

You are typing it into the Search box!
Enter it into the address bar of your browser-not into Google. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Click this link: http://192.168.0.1/
The above link should take you straight to where somersethillbilly intended!0 -
This is the Netgear's support page for your product: http://support.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/12594
You can find the manual with all the instructions need to set a password.
According to the user manual, one of the following links should let you access your router: http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
When prompted, enter admin for the router user name and password for the router password.
On the left, under the blue heading Maintenance, there is an option called Set Password - it should be obvious what this does.0
