USwitch Cashback Offer
In December 2011 I accepted a switch of energy supplier through U Switch via this site, on the understanding that there was an £80 cashback if the supplier was switched. The switch was completed in January 2012 and I have now been offered free wine instead, which I don't want. Does anyone know if I have any rights to insist that £80 cashback offer be honoured?

If £80 cashback formed part of the contract with uSwitch, then you are entitled to it.
What proof do you have of such terms? [STRIKE]I believe the special MSE offer is indeed free wine to the "value" of £80 (which is actually valued at about £40 by the MSE team)[/STRIKE]
Having said that, MSE Martin's approach to any cashback is it isn't guaranteed until it's in your bank account, so best of luck!
Edit: Looks like the uSwitch deal under the special MSE arrangement has changed
http://www.uswitch.com/gas-electricity/landingpages/free-wine-offer/You will receive a case of wine containing free Imperial case of wine containing 8 bottles, with four matching Dartington crystal wine glasses and £20 credit in the Virgin wine bank. This will be supplied by our wine partner, Virgin Wines"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I changed energy providers in October 2011 via MSE & Uswitch. I received the email stating I was entitled to my free case of Virgin wine, which would take up up 4 months to appear.....but as of yet no wine voucher =(
I have called all the Uswiitch numbers (& listened to unending birdsong) & I've emailed them....No replies & NO VINO!0 -

*Just to update*
After emailing editor@uswitch.com this morning....I had a very prompt email response including the illusive wine voucher :j
Unfortunately, Virgin Wines had the *free* case of wine listed as sold out on their site - typical!
Not being easily put off (I like my wine too much for that) I gave Virgin a call, & the very nice man sorted it all out for me.....12 bottles of FREE wine are now winging their way to ME!! :T0 -

I switched to the same deal (assuming its online energy saver17 dual fuel), I've received my wine promptly but no cashback. I was under the impression that the cashback was from Scottishpower not Uswitch, not sure how I find out though?0 -
Supplier cashbacks are normally credited to your first bill after 90 days on supply. When did you switch? No free lunch, and no free laptop
