PCN after jump starting another vehicle

Hi, I recently had to leave work and visit a pay and display car park on private land to assist a damsel in distress and restart her car with jump leads, only to return to work straight after. The other week I received a PCN in the post which shows my car entering the car park and leaving just 16 minutes later. I didn't even use a parking space. I have written to the company using a template from MSN explaining the mitigating circumstances. I even included a copy of the ticket that the broken down car had legitimately bought that morning. Just today I have received a reminder to pay the charge.
What should I do next:
a) Ignore the notice and wait for the debt collectors to knock at the door
b) Pay an amount that covers the loss that the landowner would have incurred - Car Park charges £2 for Ten Hours
c) Pay the amount on the notice - £60 if paid within the next 2 days (£90 thereafter)
d) Write again with the mitigating circumstances
e) Write to the land owner explaining the situation
f) Write to the BPA - (I don't expect too much from them)
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Except no debt collectors will knock at the door0 -
Yes you need advice, it's called ignore the parking company and their agents completely, their invoice is not enforceable and they will not take you to court or send the boys around , they are just a bunch of scamming shysters who try and act like a council. Let me just reiterate - IGNORE
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Hi guys, thanks for the advice. It appears Parking Eye do have a conscience. Just received post this morning stating the PCN had been cancelled. Thanks MSE for the template letter. Result!! :j0

Parking Eye conscience? They were cutting their losses, well done anyway.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

That's BANG ON Peter, as soon as they realise MSE is involved they know they'll just be wasting postage sending out any more letters.0
