PCN notice received in post - nothing on car

Hey folks!

Pretty much what the title says - I have "apparantly" received a PCN on my car on 18th January, and received a letter reminding me to pay yesterday.

I cannot remember the last time I parked in said car park, and don't remeber having a parking ticket for quite a while.

I have written a letter to send to them, and just looking for advice. Is the letter sufficient, should I include anything else etc?

Thank's in advance! :D

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you with concern in regard to an alleged parking contravention that was allegedly committed on 18/01/2012 in the Foregate North Car Park, Kilmarnock.

As the offence was committed more than 14 days ago, I am unable to recall whether I was parked in said location on that date. I would appreciate if you could send me photographic evidence that a PCN was affixed to my windscreen, as again, I have no recollection of having received one.

I would also kindly request that you place a hold on the charge of £30.00 until I have received evidence that my car was parked in this car park without a valid ticket, and also that a PCN had been affixed to the windscreen.
I appreciate your co-operation regarding this matter.

Regards,

Its a private parking company, so don't bother sending it in , I can give you the response now without need of spending a stamp to send it - appeal refused!

Please read the sticky threads on this section, watch the watchdog videos, and educate yourself about this scam. Yes its a scam and they have no legal right to place a penalty on your vehicle, all parking charge notices are unfair, and should be ignored completely.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Sorry, my mistake - it's a council issued ticket.

Should have put that in the original message! Doh!:o

No problem , can I suggest that you go to pepipoo for this then , they are the experts in the field, they will need to see a scan of your PCN front and back, and photos of signs and the location, sometimes google street view helps.. Place any scanned images here, and place links in the new thread you create.

Hmmm that is real interesting that a Council is issuing tickets called 'Parking Charge Notice' think we need to ensure we are making clear that we are asking if a private parking company as well

The reason why you MUST keep ALL parking lables from machines for at least 12 months.
    This advice applies to everyone.
They are really trying it on, they are under pressure to issue mimimun amounts of tickets, so they write out you penalty notice, photograph it on the car, rip it off and hand the other bit in and they know 99/100 wont have kept the lable to say you paid.
