Ovo Energy - Recommend a Friend £40

Not 100% sure if I'm allowed to put this on this board so please feel free to move/delete it if I'm breaking any rules!

We have recently moved to Ovo Energy & they are currently offering a £40 credit to anyone who 'recommends a friend'. If anyone has compared their utility prices and is looking to move to Ovo I would be happy to recommend them & share the £40.

This may be a good way to get some cashback for moving to Ovo as we couldn't find them on any cashback sites and the only comparison site that would let us switch to them with cashback was Simply Switch. We used Simply Switch but aren't holding our breath regarding the cashback as several forum users have reported not receiving it.

Please PM me if you are interested in sharing the £40 recommendation fee.

I used simplyswitch to transfer to OVO simplyswitch paid me the £40:)

I think you'll find many of the others were paid out too, especially after following the reps advice and contacting simplyswitch if they believed they had a valid claim.

I think in many cases, it was simply that the MSE'ers were not patient enough. Follow the rules and the money appears in your bank account as promised (even if a gentle reminder is needed)

FWIW Simply Switch paid up for me when I switched to OVO, I didn't have any problems with them.
