3 bed or not...?

If a house is being marketed as having 3 bedrooms you would think it would mean just that. However, this week I went to view a new property and upon measuring the "3rd bedroom" found that it was almost impossible to fit a single bed into the room. It could have just been squeezed in, if it weren't for the fact some bright spark had put a radiator in where the foot of the bed would have gone. Men eh?

Some people I know paid rather alot for a four bedroomed home. When I saw it I couldn't believe that it was in fact a loft conversion, the stairs of which took up so much room in the third bedroom that it was then only big enough to take a desk. 4 bedrooms my a***!0

Generally if it cant fit a bed, it shouldnt be marketed as a bedroom and should be called a study instead..Estate agents are generally very careful about this as otherwise they could be sanctioned under the Property Misdescriptions Act!0

Difficult to tell what is classed as a bed. If it can fit a cot in it becomes a childs bedroom!0

Thanks for the replys guys. I have now found a bed which is designed for smaller rooms at 175cm. Bit peeved off though as I have only recently bought a nice new mattress for my sons current bed.
