cheaper train fares??

looking for any advice for cheaper train fares.

a date isnt set yet but im looking at going to edinburgh from stoke on trent, (manchester is easy to get as well) return, staying 4 days or thereabouts, and i have a senior railcard. travel is likely to be in early april.

cheapest i have found online is £62.

Without dates it will be hard to give you a definite price, but splitting at Manchester Piccadilly should give you a good saving.

After a quick online search you can do the journey for £30.85

Stoke to Manchester Pic Off Peak Return @ £9.75 and Advance singles from Manchester Pic to Edinburgh from £10.55 each way. Prices with railcard.

But don't leave it till the last minute as cheap Advance singles can sell out.
