Malwarebytes crashing - what to do next?

Hi all
Have been having some problems with a laptop, namely that it lost Outlook, then the graphics drivers, and then wouldn't start properly.
Have managed to get in and trying to follow the instructions on the sticky thread for virus removal, but Malwarebytes has frozen at 2mins in, and now the whole laptop has frozen.
Any suggestions as to what I should try next?

are you running it in safe mode with networking when trying to run malwarebytes? if not i would suggest to try thatDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Oh, the thread recommends running Malwarebytes in normal, not safe mode?
The laptop is having such trouble starting that I don't really want to restart if I can help it. When we got it into Safe mode we couldn't restart it in normal again for ages :-S.
I am currently trying the online virus scan (as per the sticky) at pandasecurity.com...0
