Yes agreed Terry, I ve noticed that EDF in my area have remapped our handhelds so that Rate 1 (which was imput as night always) has now changed it to be for the day rate, which it more likely is to be correct with latest meters...It would still be easier to teach all the meter readers for an hour or so to do the job correctly in the first place. We have never had any feedback or complaints at my company at all from BG and EDF about all our huge numbers of c!!k-ups we are making and still making, what you see on this forum is a minute level of the actual numbers affected.0

Totally agree on that sacsquacco!
I know that supplier management feel exactly the same way from my own experience as its a massive problem costing them a lot to sort out.
Supplier staff also need much more training. Back in the old days just after deregulation, supply staff had guides on how meters work. That's all been lost.
Sometimes you end up Googling meters to find tech specs on them to see if it proves how they work.
Then we've got no real management of registers in the industry. Years ago, there were some reviews of this but I haven't seen anything instructing MOP's how to label their registered for probably 7 years or so. They can literally call the registers what they want, swap them round by transposing the TPR mappings and updating the supplier/DC so they can transpose them, then we've got all these yellow stickers to transpose them just because a MOP won't spend money flipping them round on their internal systems!
The industry really has and continues to just create all this themselves.
Have you seen any of those Ampy's that can operate internally as a day and night but add the reads together yet? I've seen a batch of these and everything was set up in MOP, DC and supplier systems to E7 but the guy on the bench set them to add together! Can't see why that would be needed as a specific function.
I bet you guys love reading all those CT meters on converted business to domestics where they've been reschemed to be read as non CT style, they're always being read wrong with massive supplier losses...
Can't believe EDF doing that, I can see that all going wrong somewhere with CoS and CoA. Just so it fits their billing system but not everyone else's eh?:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
