no i wont need to move again, the place will be big enough for me and the baby. The babys father is no longer in a position to help me.since finding out i am pregnant he has become useless, got sacked from his job,he very lazy and gets aggressive very easily.he was not like this before i got pregnant!!and i did not want to be on benefits with a child so plz dnt judge me. i have found myself in a difficult situation and now i am trying to do this by myself,i want to give my baby the best start in life that i can
You will also be entitle to claim child maintenance from him once the baby is born.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

Are you just looking at private lets or have you thought about applying to local council/housing associations?0

BEfore the baby is born you will not get any other help. Once baby is born you will get child benefit and child tax credits0

When I was pregnant I stayed at home with my Mum until I was 8 Months gone and then I moved in with my partner. We previously lived 80 miles apart and so I didn't move in with him until I went on Maternity leave. I think you would be better off waiting a bit longer, you may be able to get discretionary housing benefit to make up the shortfall nearer the time?0

A tiny baby doesnt need much room and being on your own you will probably be glad of your mum's help and support.
If it were me I'd stay put and try to put a bit aside for when the time came to move out.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
im looking at private lets, the only council housing around my area is very rough and i would hate to be put on that estate,i would be scared to live there. also i understand a baby doesnt need much room and i do need my mams help and support however my room literally only fits a single bed init so as u can see i do need room to put at least a cot/moses basket.£8/£100 - £1 a day until xmas day :T - im a little behind it shud be £11 i think.

If you are looking now and are under 35 you will only be entitled to the shared accom rate. If you wait until the baby is here then you would qualify for the 2 bedroom rate and you will also have child benefit and tax credits to help with the bills.
not sure where you are but the difference in housing benefit will be significant before and after baby
eg Manchester shared accom £60 per week, 2 bed £114.23 per week
Is the £25 a week you will be short accounting for the shared accom rate?0 -
yes thats for the shared 1 bed accom rate. ive been everywhere i can think of now, even citisens advice and by the looks of it there will be no help for me until baby is born

thanks all£8/£100 - £1 a day until xmas day :T - im a little behind it shud be £11 i think.
