Natwest Loan - PPI claim
creditcarddebt

Hi
I am new to this, so am just looking for a little bit of help. We took out a loan with Natwest, which finished in 2009, and we went ahead with the insurance as the loan was for quite a substantial amount and we were probably a little scared at the prospect of being unable to pay it if something went wrong. The insurance on the loan was just over £3,000, and is covered sickness, accident and unemployment. The insurance was to cover my husband only, however, he was self employed (both of us were, not sure if that makes any difference) and still is. I can not remember all the exact details of how the insurance was sold, and its only now on looking at the insurance details that I see that unemployment cover would only of paid out for self employment if my husband went bankrupt. So am I right in thinking that we can put in a claim for the insurance to be repaid? I have the original loan agreement and account number of the loan, but I don't have the policy number of the insurance. I don't know the exact date the loan was taken out as that is not shown on the loan agreement, but will be able to find out when the funds were transferred into our account. When I look on the Natwest website for PPI claims, I have the option of phoning or making a claim in writing - when I click on the details for making the claim in writing it gives me the questionnaire to fill out, so is that the best way to go?
I hope this makes sense!

Self employment is a good reason, you only need the account number and reasons for mis sell, you do not need the policy number.
Look here for reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
And if any/all apply to you, then put a claim in,you can do the form online or telephone.
Good luck.0
