Quite a few round here too and not a valley in sight... just a couple of rather large river crossings. ;)

Please excuse my extremely ignorant twin cyber stalkers - they are both insane I'm afraid, and just seem to exist to cause disruption on these threads, as no doubt you will soon discover, if you haven't already.

    hilarious :D

you keep coming up with "howlers"

yet i am "extremely ignorant" for pointing out the nonsense you state?

oh, and now a new one, I'm insane? lol

before my actual installation, i discussed with my installer about monitor options, costs, and best place to fit, they fitted my option as part of the deal, ie free...as they were here anyway....

i guess, this thread can promote it's probably the best way to go..especially for examples like yours..

not so much help to you Usky, but hopefully helpful for others..

Yes in retrospect that was a missed opportunity on my part - to be honest it didn't even occur to me to ask about remote monitoring. Here's hoping others learn from my mistake.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

not a mistake, just not thought of.

I only thought about it, cos my neighbours had solar panels and i was popping round chatting with them about it before i got myself, and they had one.

otherwise i would probably have been in the same boat :)

It's a learning curve isn't it? Like everything I guess. There's a wealth of information about solar PV being shared by folk (like on the forum here) and vast amounts of stuff from the various manufacturers and installation companies... what's really needed though, for old farts like me anyway, is a central resource... someone needs to pull all the parts together to make a whole.

Don: your mission, should you choose to accept it... ;)

It's good to see so much friendly banter here Graham. Not sure about the ignorance thing... really don't want to get involved in that... or stalking comes to that.
