                    Hi, hoping someone can help.
We have had a quote from a builder that has done some work for us before and we were rather shocked at two of the prices quoted!
It was to knock down the non supporting wall separating the kitchen and dining room (3.3m) Remove old kitchen (larder and 9 cupboards), put up stud wall between lounge and dining room (2m), create very small downstairs cloakroom from studwalls, add 2 internal doors into studwalls. No making good or plastering, plumbing or electric as they are priced separately. £6k.
Move 2 radiators across rooms (wooden floors) supply and fit new cloakroom (internal plumbing only), supply and fit heated towel rail, fit kitchen sink and tap (not being moved) £2k.
Most other prices seem reasonable.
I want to get more quotes however if they are going to be similar we are going to cancel the project as are due a baby in June and don't want to overstretch ourselves.
