I'm a little curious on this one.
Forget your actual problem, I think you have the correct advice on that , but whar was the BG surveyors issue with the over mortared brickwork??
I can't see it having anything to do with causing a damp issue, was it simply that the injection system would not fill the cavity correctly because of the obstructions and thus render in ineffective/ worthless???;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
If the cavity is not filled completely this causes "cold spots" which effectively causes damp to enter the inner wall.0

Please explain/define if you can, I don't accept that at present.
OK, it's inefective insulation as i said, but not damp.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

He was doubtful that the insuslation would be able to completely fill the cavity properly with the partial obstructions inside. As British Gas give a 20 year guarantee on their insulation, he was right to refuse to carry out the work.
He said we could have the cavities cleaned out, but it wouldn't be cost-effective as we would be unlikely to recoup the outlay for that through savings made.0 -
