  • Just seen your other thread and wanted to pop in here to send cheery "well done and keep going" vibes your way. Sounds like you're really getting your teeth into it - do get that SOA done and up though - then people can take a look and work out where you might be able to make savings - I bet we'll come up with stuff you'd not even thought of, too!

the spending diary is great - when you actually analyse what you spend it does bring it home, eh? Remember, for magazines, Boots (free with advantage card) Tesco, Asda and others all do freebie magazines - not quite as glossy as you might be used to, but there is some good stuff in them and more importantly it's a read without spending anything on it!

You've made a fantastic start, well done you!

The small tasks really do add up to larger savings, once you realise where you're wasting money. The diary really helps too, you get plenty of friends for advice and keeping you on track.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on here often!

i had my gas bill land this week for £152 which ive just paid online :T i can honestly say ive never paid my gas bill well before the due date - more like the 2 red letter :o:rotfl:

but ive paid it 1 week before due date :T extra browing points for me

so it looks like i will be paying an over payment of £400 off my higest APR CC :j whoop

im still keeping my spending diary in my bag , so i can keep a close eye on my finances daily

  • well im off today and its such a sunny and warm day , so got all the windows and patio doors open letting in the cool breeze to freshen the house and blow away the winter air out

why when its sunny you feel the need to think about a new patio set, new flowers for a new boader, maybe a conservitry added to the house lol ideas ideas......:mad:

point is, im hoping to rent this house out and to move in with my BF and after clearing my CC debt, start making over payments on the mortgage is the big idea. ive had this house for 6 years this april, TBH the area not great, got a council house estate across the road and i live in a nice bought cul de sac, but the council kids cross through to get to the nice wooded area. and they cause mess and ASB

The kids have no respect for anything. so the aim is to rent this out ( the fly off the rented market like gold) and then once ive paid enough into it, then i will sell and put the money into a joint house or a house to rent out in a nicer area that i would be happy living in, if me and partner ever split - fingers cross we never do that tho as i love him loads :A

but my aim is to hold onto every penny i can and to get a better paid job, to get my self straight, pay off my CC debt, have some savings and plough money into this house

just thought id have a winge because its pay day tomoz, i have £400 in the bank until tomorrow for when i pay a big chuck off my first CC and its sat there saying........spend me.....go and treat yourself to new garden furniture lol

    sorry to moan lol :rotfl:

  • :j whoop whoop - its Payday

its soo good logging onto my online banking and seeing and healthy balance before all my bills go out that is :p

Worked out last night my budget and out goings from now until next payday

Just drawed out £30 , this £30 should last me until next payday, for the odd spend treat (i.e asda snack, a nice top, odd car parking fee in town, ect ect

Going to top up my fuel tomorrow for a full tank and that should last me until next payday and then pray i have aanother nice chunk to pay off my 1st CC, then il at least have an extra £50 in the bank each month instead of that being a min payment to cc1 - thats my small goal and light at the end of the first tunnel :T

paid my gas bill the other day, just waiting for my electric bill to fall on the door mat, i know how much it is, but i want the details to set up online payment from my bank to pay it and ive also budgeted into this month finance :)
the only bill im waiting for that i dont know the amount of is my 6 monthly water bill  - il wait to see the damage, i estimate it will be around £170 ish, as that what it usually is - finger crossed :A

i do hope i get a bonus this year, ive been with the same company for over 4 years and ive never recieved a bonus - even tho they make tons of profit :( still job hunting , but it be nice to get a bonus in april before i leave, so i can throw it at one of my CC

also when i pay off my fist CC im going to chase for mis sold PPI, so if im lucky and recieve an amount i can chuck the amount at another CC and do the same at the next CC

i did ring CC3 up and asked to cancel the PPI, as i already had a cover that covered all my CC and she was trying to make me keep it, i did say i didnt need it , so left it as it was - so i will use this phone call as further eveidence where ive tried to cancel and the advisor kept nagging me to keep it - hope it works :rotfl:

  • talk of the devil........it landed on my door mat :p

finally set the water company up on my internet banking, i do love this internet banking, i can transfer money and all sorts :o lol :rotfl:

not too bad £158 for 6 month of water and sewage usuage - so paid that - must have too much time on my hands

i feel good that ive paid them and got it out of my account, instead of chucking the paperwork out of sight to gather dust and then the usually red letter arrives that glares at me till i pay it - not now tho!! :A

off today, just waiting for the o/h to finish work before we have tea and chillax for the evening - got loads planned to do this weekend, get up early , need to go the tip to clear the garden, get spare room ready for when the o/h dad stays for 2 nights and list an item on ebay after i clean it for piccys - fingers crossed that will make me £200 - £300, as well as the usually ironing and cleaning- hopefully that will keep me away from spending lol

i sooo cant wait to get onto the MFW section of the forum bit - but id say im a year off that yet.

well loads have happened since i last posted, even tho i have been a lurker. i forgot my log on details :rotfl:

i finally got my consent to let from my mortgage company :T
In June, I moved into my b/f house, so i can rent mine out. hopefully a tenant will be in, in the next 2 weeks :T

Switched bank accounts and they offered me a 0% CC balance transfer for 22 month, so i transfers 2 cc onto the natwest one :T cut my monthly payment down by £65 :A

Got a new laptop with excell (finally) so now ive set up my spreadsheets to help budget
purchased my new diary today. i carry this around with me to log all expenses and balances

as you can see below, i have listed my debt for all to see, i plan to blast this away by the end of 2013

i never got round to sorting my PPi out, after a discussion in work today. with it being bank hoilday weekend, im determind to print off the forms and post them out tomorrow to see how i do in chasing PPI
im not much of a chatter, but i promais il update this at least once a week :p
