It hurt throwing them out and made me learn a lesson about buying movies either on VHS or DVD - at some stage they change things and your purchases become obsolete. I bet millions of VHS films have been thrown out or sold for buttons on car boots. I stick with watching them this way now, then not wasting money on something that will be obsolete one day. I do buy occasional DVD's but not many.
at least with DVD it has a chance of legacy support whjile optical drives are still in use
theres many years left in DVD0 -
DVD killed VHS so quickly because it was so much better, the only alternative to dvd's in the many years since it arrived so far are streaming online (can be patchy, what if connection goes etc) and Blu-Ray, although popular it's not gaining ground that fast.
So I too think dvd is here to stay for quite some time.0 -
I signed up with TCB on 1st Feb & cashback still not tracked!
Had to file a missing cashback claim & then will do the other claim for the extra 3 quid , bit of a hassle though...0 -

First attempt lunchtime I couldnt get the internet to work on my Wii. It could see my wireless router (strong signal) , i entered the password, and then it ran a test - but it failed with an error 51331 .
Will check that out later0 -
Joined Netflix on Monday, tracked today, submitted a request for a price match this afternoon and they've done it already.0

Joined Netflix on 3rd Feb, used over 5 hours by 5th and Quidco £15 confirmed today, so with £18 from Lovefilm = £33 for £0, nice result !0

I think they've done mine too. It says £15 pending whereas it used to say £12.12 pending. Or maybe they do that when you've requested a match.
EDIT I checked my claim and it says 'approved'52% tight0 -
Mr Benn, make sure you put in the password exactly as it says on the sticker on your router, as in if it has capitals and lower case it needs to be exact. I had that problem at the beginning0
