I'm looking to stay over near here, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 1BT, on Friday this week for one night with the misses. Anyone know where the best/cheapest! place would be to stay.

Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Look on laterooms.com. They seem to have some good deals. If you are going to book, go through quidco for cashback.

Try lastminute.com.
pop in the postcode and the night you want.
The North Stafford Hotel by Stoke station is just £45 for a standard double with breakfast. I've eaten there but not slept over & the food was ok.
The Stoke on Trent Moathouse is £74 but thats room only. Its supposed to be areally nice hotel - 4* so if you want a treat it could be nice & you may find a cheaper room if you do a search. It'd be worth seeing if any of these are on laterooms.com
There is a hotel in Newcastle Under Lyme called the Borough Arms which I've had a few meals at and the food always seemed to be good. http://www.borough-arms-hotel.co.uk/
There is also a hotel called The Haydon House hotel & the food there is lovely. We ate there over christmas http://www.haydon-house-hotel.co.uk/
I've no experience or idea on what any of these places are like for overnight stays though - sorry
The 2 hotels above in Stoke-on-Trent are on the outskirts of Newcastle Under Lyme and only a few minutes from N-U-L in the car.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0
