No response by deadline

Dear All,

I am pursuing a claim with Egg (now Barclaycard) and they have written a number of times stating that my claim is being looked into and they will respond by XX date.

The last letter said they would respond by 1st Feb, yesterday, and they have not done so.

Does this put me in a better position?

Are they now liable to pay me back because they have not responded in time or kept me sufficiently informed of the progress of my complaint?

Any advice gratefully received.

Regards

Richard

  • It makes no difference to whether the complaint will be upheld or not.

You can now refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you wish - but if you do, you will come out of one queue and join the back of another one.
