Dog Food For 11 yr old Jack Russell

Hi my lovely JR has been fed dried food for years with no problems. Sadly I am now ill and can no longer visit the shops. Is there a good dog food that I can get on line. I cant really afford expensive food however I certainly dont want the cheap and cheerful stuff. Thank you for your advice.

There are loads of good quality dog foods that you can get online!! You will be spoilt for choice really! ;)

Most of the good quality dry dog food isn't expensive as you usually feed a lot less per day than the poor quality foods so it often doesn't work out more especially for a small dog!

I get this Burns one and it works out less than £2 a week for my dog who weighs about 9kg. I buy the 7.5kg bags £21.18 (delivered) which would last my small dog about 11-12 weeks.

What are you currently feeding him?

There is one called Millburns I think,Ill check in a mo and leave a link. My two get Royal Canine skin support (which is very expensive) and then this new dry one came out which seemed to have decent ingredients and I got that to mix with the RC. They did have a two bags for the price of one offer recently. They may do that again, so keep your eyes peeled.

Just a sec, heres the link - I get the 5kg bag. Dont forget to go through topcashback to petsupermarket to get about 5% cashback. Also have a google for promo codes for petsupermarket as they often have them, especially if you are a new customer.

For your boy, the senior mix is probably best

    2,5 kg is currently £7 and a 15 kg bag £32.

Chaya has Arden Grange which works out at about £10 a month & is good quality. If you don't want to order online could whoever walks him get some?
  • Worth checking these guys for pricing when you've decided what you want: http://www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk/

(We use them to stock up on Arden grange dry and wet ('partners') every 3 months or so).

We have just started feeding or old Border Terrier (13) on Nature Diet with a bit of bread or scraps a pack will last her 2-3 days. I have started to split the meals for her, two thirds in the morning and a third in the evening which seems to be suiting her well. She also has Cushings Disease so we have to keep an eye on her weight wise. She just stopped eating the dried food and all the checks came up clean.

Price seem to be typically around £13 (for 18 packs) but we use VetUK free delivery over £19.
