Hi, we have just booked a trip to Lake Garda in April through Leisure Direction. We are goiing to be staying in a mobile home in Camp Butterfly (has anyone been recently ?) which is near Peschiera. Our children are aged 5 and 9 and we would like recommendations on places to visit, which theme parks are suitable for their age group, day trips etc. We will be hiring a car for the duration so we are able to get around.
Any suggestions or tips would be gratefully received.
Regards JJ

Hi
in Peschiera there is the biggest Italian theme park called Gardaland, so you don't have problems with the kids.
All places around the Garda Lake are well equipped fro entertaining children, may be therefore it's a favourite holiday destination for the Germans.
Besides that, apart from visiting the places on the lake (there is a convenient ferry system) you may make a day trip to Venice, but in that case, it's better to take a train, because parking in Venice is expensive. Many intercity trains stop in Peschiera and you can go to Venice in less then 2 hours. Definitely worth a visit.0
