How easy to go Halifax Ultimate reward joint from two single accounts

Hi all.
Wife and I both have Halifax ultimate reward accounts. We wish to have a Halifax ultimate reward joint account. Is this easy enough? Can we just convert one of our accounts to joint so we keep the history. Dont really want credit file showing new account etc if that makes sense.
We also have upgraded AA on one of the accounts, would we lose this if I had to close the account? Another reason I want to convert the account so I dont lose the free features which I have upgraded such as AA and travel insurance.
Hope this makes sense although when I asked the Halifax they struggled to answer so I have assumed I dont make sense.

Wouldn't it be easier to just open a standard reward joint account and keep your sole accounts?0

Yes except I am not happy paying £30 per month for 2 accounts I would not be using. Thanks though.0

You can add a name to one of the accounts, therefore you'd pay £15 for joint benefits. The other remaining account you could change to their Reward account, assuming you don't already have one.
The only point to consider is if you use their overdraft facility on the accounts, as with the two Ultimate Rewards you are technically getting £600 overdraft free, changing one of them would mean paying £1 per day.0 -
it is easy enough, just chose which 1 of your sole accounts you want to make joint, go into branch and ask them to do this, its just a matter of them filling in the relevant form and sending it off for processing.0

Just call into the branch and get one of them made into a joint account and then ring up the call centre who can downgrade the other one into a standard account. Or else downgrade the 2 into standard accounts and open a new joint ultimate reward account.0

Thanks for the assistance. It makes good sense now. Will the account then show as open on my wifes credit report and still maintain as showing open on mine. Have recently worked hard to clear past adverse info so want to do everything to make my credit file look good. New accounts seem to however show as a negative effect.
Again, thanks. We will call into branch to add my wife to my account and either downgrade or cancel her account.0
