    If you are going to drill through the wall, may I suggest that you drill from the outside in and not from the inside out. It will require some accurate measurements, but will eliminate the risk of getting a nasty unsightly "breakout" on the face of the brick. If you must go from the inside out then use a small diameter drill initially. Hopefully, this will only cause a small "breakout". Then you can open up the hole to the required size from the outside. Just a thought from my own experience.
