Assessment Centres: advice needed!

Hello!

I've been invited to my first assessment centre in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to know if anyone out there has any wise words or horror stories (and/or advice) that they wish to pass on? I'm quite nervous, but also intrigued as I've heard what you have to do etc, but what are they actually like?

Any advice will be warmly welcomed! :)

  • Hi,
I am an assessor for assessment centre. PM me and let me know what type of job you are applying for. I am willing to assist if its the same type of work.
  • Hiya,
First - Congratulations! The whole graduate application is very tough!
Then RESEARCH the job (what the duties may be and the types of compentencies the company is looking for), RESEARCH the company (check out their website and other sites for information) and RESEARCH yourself (know your application and CV inside out - especially anything that may stand out - go over it with an employer's perspective)!

Most importantly relax (I know it sounds ridiculous!) but just be yourself and let your personality shine through - The company is trying to make sure that you're right for them, also use the day to make sure there're right for you!

    Good Luck!!
