Valentine's gift cheques discussion

I'm going all controversial here and saying I really don't like these - partly because I would be mortally offended if my bloke treating having sex with me as if it was some kind of 'favour' or treat. We have sex because we both fancy each other like mad, enjoy it and love each lother - not as pay back for domestic tasks or whatever. I give him a massage if he wants or needs one not because I 'owe' him one. Sex and affection aren't commodities to be traded in a relationship.
I also hate the idea of having to give him 'permission' to watch the films of his choice or a night off doing the washing up - surely these things just happen because thats what relationships are about - give and take, noticing when the other one needs a break and doing something nice for them because you want to then and there not because on one day you gave them a note that said you would.
Puts on fireproof jump suits and awaits flames!
Er.... I used one of the cheques for lots of 'kisses' - but that's just what my OH would get every day anyway so this is not a 'pay back' or any kind of bartering chip.
It's just another way of saying "I love you" to my OH as far as I'm concerned! Just a bit different and fun. OH thought the idea was fun too, I put the 'cheque' in with his card.
It would not even have occured to me (or OH) that this could be construed as some kind of barter system!
I'm confused ???0 -
Completely understand Rachbc's point.
But could have maybe done without the intimate insight into her sex life...We are QPR, say we are QPR!0 -

I didn't specify anything else, like how they had to be taken (e.g. several at once or one-a-day)...
Or where ....
Is that for this years valentines day? If so, it expires very quickly!0 -
