Can I claim from Irish Banks?

Wonder if anyone can help me with this before I start this long process.
I'm about to start claiming for PPI, I used to live and work in Dublin and had loans and credit cards before I moved back to Scotland.
Can I make claims for these policies as well as the ones I started when I moved back to the UK.
AIB was the bank I used, I'm not sure if they are part of any UK banking group/umbrella or not.
Thanks for your time.

If you purchased in Ireland, then it will be subject to Irish regulation and you need to complain to them there. If you are dissatisfied you can refer the matter to the Irish Financial Services Ombudsman.
Two key differences to note:
The bank has 25 working days to respond - as opposed to 8 weeks regardless of public holidays in the UK. (On that point, note that 17 March is a public holiday in Ireland - a Saturday this year so presumably 19 March will substitute).
This is shorter than here but so is the time you then get to get to go to the Ombudsman - just 15 days as opposed to six months.0 -
