when you say inherent and was present at the point of sale, how could that be because if it is inherent surely all models would be affected and if present at time of sale then it would never have worked, so realalistically is any repairer going to say it was present at the point of sale.
For example, maybe a faulty spring was fitted in the shutter mechanism (if there is such a thing nowadays) which worked at the time of sale but failed a good time after.
or maybe a faulty electronic component that agian allowed the thing to work for some time but failed later, redendering the camera useless.
So your repairman has to produce a report along those lines.
A report that said e.g. "damaged shutter mechanism needs replacing at a cost of £120" would not be suitable because it makes no mention about how the damage came about.
You are looking for a report that makes it totally clear that the reason the thing is not working has nothing to do with how you might or might not have handled it.0 -
