Thanks, I misread the table that the CAB supplied - the 10% only applies to savings, not employment income.

So basically the OPs partner should not be losing 20% of her entire gross wage to taxes, as approx a third of it is liable for tax.0 -
£6.25 ph for a 37.5 hour week is a monthly take home of £887 (thanks to http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/hourly.php). If she is not getting something like that then in all probability her tax code is either incorrect or it has been amended due to previous tax owed - standard tax code is 747L, what is hers?
BR I would guess

This is the crucial point that you need to address before worrying about LHA. You're going to have an overpayment, if you don't already.0 -

She should be clearing £786.26 (net) per month. What's happening to the rest?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

she does 128 hours a month which comes to £800 gross
34.53 NI and 53.60 paye deducted
leaving £755 netFreeriding,

leaving £755 net
To emphasise OlderNotWisers point.
At this salary level, if you are living together, you are not entitled to income based JSA, at all.
Any JSA you have been paid will need to be repaid, from the time you moved in, if she has been constantly in work.
If you delay reporting that you're living together, in addition to needing to repay the money paid, any future claim you make may be impacted, and you may be prosecuted for benefit fraud.0 -

So not the £600 you first said.
128 hours is not 32 hours a week unless she's paid 4 weekly (ie 13 times a year, not 12).Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
