DD and DS have been doing gymnastics since they were 4. DD started swimming at 5 I think. DS was five when he started football (he's now 6) and DD started doing rugby in November when she was 8. After school clubs at their school start in year 3, but they vary depending on what year they're in.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
DD1 started dancing and swimming at age 4 about 6 months after her dad and I spilt up as he wanted her to do it - he paid for the swimming which I think was about £90 a term and he paid for her first half term at dancing of £3 a lesson once a week. We stopped the swimming for various reasons and the dancing as it was too far (he choose a dance school 1/2 hour drive away fom my house when there was one at the end of our road, although there was a longish waiting list).
Since moving house and school 2 years ago she now does gym club at school once a week via an outside agency at £3 a session and was doing dancing at school at £3.50 a session. As she's now 7 she's 'graduated' to the Saturday class at a local dance studio which is £4 a session plus 'uniform'. They're doing a show near Easter which requires a £15 costume donation plus cost of tickets to watch. Oh, and she also wants to do the tap class that follows on after hers which is another £4 a go, but we'll be waiting a bit before she starts that!
DD2 is too young at the moment really but no doubt when she starts school in Sept she will want to join the dance class her sister has just left which will again be £3.50 a session.Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

DS1 - Singing Club - free (term time only) [1 hour]
- Deaf Club - £1 a week, plus 50p tuck (year round, includes trips to cinema/bowling every few weeks, but still only costs £1. Snacks and drinks are more expensive though!) [2 hours, occasionally more if at pictures]
DS2 - Airfix Club £1.50 a week (termtime only) [1 hour, 15 minutes]
- Young Carers - free (year round) [1 hour, 45 minutes]
- Deaf club as above
Both attended Scouts until recently, at £2 a week, term time only [1 hour, 15 minutes].
I am a guide leader and run both Rainbows and Brownies, where we charge £1.60 a week. Rainbows meet for one hour and Brownies for an hour and a half. My younger son comes with me, but spends most of his time in the library (we meet in their community room). He helps to put out pens, tidy up at the end, etc.
My older son is disabled and will hopefully be attending Disability Cycling after half term - this is £2 a session. There are three sessions available a week, but I will only be taking him to one session, as it means taking him out of school - sessions are usually an hour, but when it is quiet, you can use the bikees for longer. It runs all year round and my younger son can also attend in the holidays.
I also pay £10 a month subscription to a small disability group that we are members of. For this, we have regular play sessions at the local soft play centre (exclusive use, including food for the children, but costs me a fortune in coffees :rotfl:), regular days out, craft sessions, etc. We have to pay for some things, but most are subsidised or funded externally.
DS1 is 13 and DS2 is 12.0
