Landlords & Pets...

Just wondering whether any of your landlords can advise on a hypothetical situation.
We are looking to put our house on the market in about 4 weeks time (we are having a builder come to do some rendering on a particularly unattractive conservatory wall so after he has been, we will be putting it on the market). I have a couple of debts that I want to pay off and we would like to save some extra cash for a little while before buying another property so we are looking to rent for 6 - 12 months.
Now, I think we are going to struggle hard enough to find a rentable property that will take our 2 dogs (who by the way are impeccably behaved and are not puppys so don't poo and wee everywhere). I have seen quite a few properties that say No Pets (which I take to mean dogs and cats). Anyway, if we do manage to find somewhere that is happy with the dogs - what is the likelihood that I will be able to take my chickens? They have a coop and a run, so are enclosed? Can any of you guys who are landlords tell me what your answer would be if someone asked if they could bring chickens?
Just wondering whether I need to start putting the feelers out to see if any of my friends possibly wants fresh eggs every morning for a little while!
Many thanks.
