FAP Barclay card

I have just found out I am paying for FAP. Family accident panning. Apparently I took this insurance out in 2001 I haven't got a clue I didn't even have a family then, just a young lad enjoying life......
Can I claim this insurance back? As it stands I am still paying for it at the moment.
Please help.

How did you come about the information? do you have the original agreement that you signed agreeing to the protection? is the card still active?

Is the protection cover through Barclaycard or a third party?

Personally I would submit the a claim against the policy, letting the insurance provider know that you were not aware that a policy was in place.

I have only just found it on a on line statement last night. I phoned Barclay Card last night and the women told me what it was, I asked when it was taken out she said 2001 and that it could have been a phone call or paperwork in the post I dont remember either. They even had my old address on it. The woman said she would E Mail the Policy to me but as yer I havent received anything. The card is still active and so is the policy at the moment.

I dont know if it is Barclay card or a third party.

I also have a claim against Barclay card for PPI on the same account at the moment, should I wait for that to be dealt with first...???
