Hi Gunjack
Not sure how to remove wifi card - can you elaborate?0 -
in device manager, right-click on wifi card, and pick uninstall..then reboot the lappy and let windows discover the card and re-install it.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

remove wireless drivers and then try http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads
good link...looks like current version is 9.x, so 5.x may well not do it

Hi
Tried the download - didn't work. Uninstalled again and rebooted to see if it find drivers but it hasn't prompted me to install a driver. Is there something else i need to do?
Sorry - dont think i did the uninstall properly. Will do again.0 -
wizard can't find software and download didnt work :-(
Any more ideas??
It is using the intel proset wireless connection utility? would this be causing a prob?0 -
which drivers did you download from the toshiba link that i posted ?
and is it a Atheros or Intel wireless chip on laptop , as you mentioned both ?0 -
first Atheros one in list v 9.2.0.419.0
sorry missed second q - trying to do two things at once. When I go into device manager it lists Atheros and realtek ethernet undet Network adaptors.
On startbar if I hover over wireless icon it says driver not installed and if I cliick on it takes me to something called 'intel proset/wireless wifi connection utility'0 -
try installing the "intel PRO/Wireless" drivers for XP off the toshiba link , start with 1.2.4.41 and if that doesnt work , uninstall them and try the next one for XP ... 9.0.4.39 , and if that doesnt try ... 12.4.0.21.1 , but remember to uninstall after each failed attempt0
