The Royal Academy of Arts presents the first major exhibition in the UK to showcase David Hockney’s landscape work. Vivid paintings inspired by Yorkshire landscape, many large in scale and created specifically for the exhibition, will be shown alongside related drawings and films. Just minutes away from The Royal Academy of Arts, The Chesterfield, is a boutique Mayfair hotel which epitomizes traditional British old-world charm.
1. Competition closes on Sunday 4 March 2012.
2. This competition is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 or over.
3. One winner plus guest will receive return train travel courtesy of National Rail, a two night stay in a double room at The Chesterfield (including breakfast) with a private tour at the Royal Academy of Arts of David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture, a hamper filled with treats from Yorkshire Tea and an exhibition catalogue.
4. The winner’s weekend must be taken on the 17 and 18 March. The private tour of David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture with an RA expert must be taken on Sunday 18 March at 8.30am – 9.45am at the Royal Academy of Arts.
5. Two runners up will be drawn and each will receive a pair of tickets to see David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture, an exhibition catalogue and a Yorkshire Tea Gift Box.
6. Employees of the RA, Yorkshire Tea, Taylors of Harrogate, The Chesterfield and National Rail, their families and friends are not eligible for entry.
7. The prize does NOT include any insurance or any other expenses during the stay in London.
8. The prize is as stated and no cash alternative.
9. Winners must claim their prize within 5 days of notification. In the event that the winner does not claim their prize within 5 days, another winner will be drawn at random
