Oven went pop!

Hi All
Oven went pop the other day and shorted the electrics.
It is a single oven with a grill in, now only the outer frill bar is working.
Any ideas what it might be?
Thanks

The oven element has gone - it will need replacing.0

Oven still works fine, it's just the inside element/bar on grill but i suspect you're right!0 -
Yes it will be the element. I take it you can turn the oven on, set the thermostat (thermostat light comes on) but the oven doesn't get hot. Once you identify which element isn't working then order a replacement online. I used the 'element man' (nice play on words) but there are plenty of suppliers.0

The oven still gets hot and food cooked in it has been fine, so far!
Only one of the two grill elements at the top of the oven heats up, the outer element/ring. Stupid question but are they the elements that also heat the oven, I haven't a clue!!!0
