Capital One Credit Card

Options
I applied for a Capital One Card last weekend, and got a message stating I would hear from them in 7-10 days.
Anyway, I called them last Monday and they said Congratulations you've been accepted and a credit agreement has been posted.

One I sign and return the agreement I was advised my card would be posted to me.

I asked how much my limit was and he said "£500".

I received the agreement last Wednesday, signed and returned it.
Haven't heard anything since.

Today I call, and I'm told they have received the agreement back and my application is with another department in its "Final stages".

What does this mean?
I asked and explained I was told I was accepted and he said "Your application hasn't been declined or accepted, it's been reviewed before we make a final decision"!

So what's this all about?
I wait almost two weeks hear nothing, I'm told I was accepted by letter and over the phone and then I'm told to sign an agreement which I have done and now they are saying there finishing processing my application?

Very strange way to do business if you ask me!!

Sorry I'm new to credit cards :o
Only applied for them the past few weeks.

Why would they be reviewing it?
And have I definitely been accepted? Or will they change their mind? Lol!

I have no missed/late payments, no defaults, no CCJ, and have 7 other up to date accounts (Catalogues)

I had the letter saying "Everyone likes good news so we have some for you, you've been accepted for the Capital One Card".

Just hope they haven't changed their mind

Its likely to be fraud checks
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
